We are driven by Curiosity. Children are the fastest learners of everything and anything. Being curious can get you in trouble, but without curiosity, one won’t go far. “The Curious Boy” is an interpretation of all the times I got caught by my mother while seeking to learn new things, such as swimming. My curiosity was met with a “THIARAKH” (a Wolof word for sandal, the Spanish version of “chancleta”). It didn’t stop me from learning to swim, which saved my life a few months later, as I was almost drowned.
