Alejandra Topete Gallery is delighted to present Entre Hilos y Relatos/Between Threads and Stories with the work of two mixed media artists; Claribel Calderius and Jason Kriegler. Both artists adopt the language of textiles to express their context; both through their practice as artists but also through their own personal history.

Jason has a deep interest in the stories, application, materials and techniques which have been told through textiles and the people that create them: the historical nature of man-made creations from different regions, tribes or villages which construct these intricate pieces. For Claribel and Jason their work acts as a biography of their lives, using the medium of textile to depict traditions, techniques and locations that have inspired and imprinted on them an influence, seen throughout the works created in this show.
