Colección: Badara Ndiaye

Badara Ndiaye (b. 1984, Kaolack, Senegal) is a multidisciplinary artist whose career bridges sport, fashion, and contemporary art. After moving to the U.S. in 2005. A knee injury ended his athletic career, leading him to the fashion world as a model and creative director, where he collaborated with Givenchy, Tom Ford, Puma, and Aux Corps Anonymes and appeared in international outlets such as Vogue, GQ, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar. He has also contributed to academic programs at Parsons School of Design and Istituto Marangoni and lectured at global conferences, including the Fashion Futures Summit in Riyadh (2022).

Appointed cultural ambassador of Senegal in Paris, Ndiaye now channels his experiences into art, working across painting, sculpture, film, and upcycling practices. His works, inspired by the red and ochre earth of Africa, explore resilience, identity, and transformation, while addressing social and environmental inequalities, racial discrimination, and cultural diversity. Since 2018, he has also produced films that reflect his philosophy of continuous reinvention. His exhibition, XIPPI, was presented at the August Wilson Museum in Pittsburgh in 2024.

He participated in the AKAA (Also Known as Africa) Art and Design Fair in Paris at Alejandra Topete's Gallery booth in 2025; he will participate in 2026 too with brand new works.
