Alejandra Topete Gallery is pleased to announce its second engagement at Zona MACO. We invite art enthusiasts, collectors, and the media to experience a curated presentation by six artists that fosters meaningful connections and engages audiences through diverse contemporary practices.

Emilio García Plascencia presents an installation alongside three monumental bronze sculptures cast using the lost-wax technique. His work examines the relationship among objects, space, and perception, engaging in dialogue with light, environment, and the viewer through forms that balance visual intensity with meticulous craftsmanship.

No Escuches a tu Corazón by Claribel Calderius is an embroidered jute textile that transforms fragmented fabrics into a bridge between ancestral and contemporary practices.

Ernesto García Sánchez will exhibit an installation of his Pinturas Cortadas series, extending his exploration of form and space by challenging traditional boundaries of painting through fragmentation and spatial composition.

John R. Thompson contributes a set of seven works developed through an intuitive, process-driven approach, where layered paint and mixed media generate vibrant surfaces that reveal the raw material beneath.

Border by William Gaber comprises 130 individual frames that fragment the view of a wall in the artist’s studio in Yucatán, emphasizing borders as artificial constructs rather than fixed divisions.

Randy Shull will present works in which he creates the canvas itself by pouring paint into handwoven hammocks, allowing color and structure to emerge together as a materially responsive practice.
