Chica Ayala

Colección: Chica Ayala

Chica Ayala studied sculpture at Universidad Iberoamericana and complemented her training with specialized programs in high-temperature ceramics and raku at Taller El Olvido under the guidance of Hilda San Vicente, as well as with the Diploma Introduction to the Art Market, offered by Sotheby’s Institute of Art in collaboration with Universidad Centro.

She has held solo exhibitions in Mexico City, including 35 2025s Salón Dès Aztecas (Galería Casa Eme, 2024), La forma del alma (Galería Casa Eme, 2023), and Volumen y color (Centro Cultural Pedregal, 2022).

Her career has been recognized in various spaces dedicated to sculpture, and she recently completed an artist residency at Alejandra Topete Gallery (Mexico City). During the residency, she continued exploring the use of resin to create organic forms and abstract gestures, in resonance with the colors used in Casa Luis Barragán, located parallel to the gallery. She also experimented with different resin techniques to create textures and volumes across diverse surfaces.
